Throttling, yes. A burst of requests trips the platform's abuse detection, which shows up as a sudden speed drop or refused requests. Account bans mainly become a risk once you pass in a logged-in session. Downloading public content anonymously usually touches no account at all.

Practical settings: lower the concurrency, run in batches, leave a gap between jobs, and keep your main account out of it. In yt-dlp, add spacing with --sleep-requests.

Two routes:

• yt-dlp with --download-archive archive.txt: it records the IDs you already pulled in a file and skips them on the next run. Pair it with a system scheduler and you have automatic tracking.
• 4K Video Downloader Plus and its Subscriptions panel: add a channel to the subscription list in the GUI and it checks periodically, pulling new uploads on its own. This one needs a paid licence.

No other tool here does this, not even free ones such as Stacher.

Because Pinterest uses infinite scroll loading, and an extension only sees what has already loaded into the page. When you open a board, there may be just a few dozen pins in it.

The fix: before you hit bulk, scroll the board to the bottom manually. Or use the paid Pin Toolbox, which pages through the API instead of relying on scrolling.

Use a filename template. yt-dlp with -o accepts variables for playlist index, upload date and channel name, for example -o "%(playlist_index)s-%(title)s.%(ext)s" keeps the order readable.
