Pinterest Image Downloader (Futoo) is a browser extension that only works with Pinterest. Pinterest content is laid out in an unusual way: the feed is all thumbnails, the real original only loads when you open a Pin, and one board can hold hundreds of Pins. It swaps thumbnail URLs for original image URLs
Pinterest image URLs carry a size marker, and the feed uses a small size. The extension replaces that marker with the original size, so you get the full image without opening each Pin's detail page. That is the root reason it is faster than doing it by hand.
Bulk relies on simulated scrolling to build the list
Pinterest loads with infinite scroll, and the page starts with only a few dozen Pins. The extension simulates scrolling to load more, collecting URLs as it goes. Video Pins take a different path

Why did bulk download only get part of the board?
Because Pinterest loads with infinite scroll, the extension can only see content that has already loaded into the page. When you open a board, the page may hold only a few dozen Pins, and the rest have not been requested yet.
The fix: scroll the board to the bottom by hand before you click bulk, and wait until everything has loaded. For a board with hundreds of Pins this takes a minute or two, but there is no other way.
Will the downloaded images be compressed?
No. It replaces the size marker in the image URL with the original, so you get the largest version Pinterest has stored.
One caveat: the original on Pinterest may already have been compressed by the uploader. The most the extension can give you is what the platform stored, and it cannot restore quality that is not there.
